THE ARCHITECT

In the early 90s, Tomé Serpa is the most charismatic and ambitious architect in Portugal. Tomé lives between professional success and a secret life of sexual relations filmed without the consent of the participants. Despite being married, he maintains a relationship with Carolina, an actress who believes to be his only lover and that Tomé will end his marriage to be with her. After discovering the truth about her beloved, she allies herself with Elsa, Tomé’s secretary, to take revenge and unmask him before the inauguration of her great project, a modern shopping mall. This audiovisual work of fiction, of the period, is inspired by public and notorious facts that occurred in Portuguese society in the eighties and nineties of the last century that combines social criticism, abuse of power, emotional manipulation and female resistance, with the growing tension around the outcome of the enterprise and the imminent ruin of Tomé Serpa
